For more than twenty-five years, Professor Laurence Zitvogel, clinical oncologist and tumor immunologist, has actively contributed to the advancement of cancer research, particularly in the fields of immunology and immunotherapy, by combining fundamental research and translational research.
Worldwide recognized for her major discoveries in the field of cancer microbiota, she has been awarded numerous prizes from national academies and research centers, and is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and the European Academy of Cancer. Sciences (EACS).
Author of nearly 500 scientific publications, she is one of the women scientists best cited by Clarivate analytics as strongly contributing to the ranking of the University of Paris-Saclay in the Shanghai ranking, intended to evaluate the work carried out by teacher-researchers. In October 2022, she received the Bob Pinedo Cancer Care Award, given to a scientist distinguished in cancer research.
