Prof. Nathan is consultant medical oncologist at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, honorary consultant at UCLH and honorary professor of oncology at UCL. His specialist interests are the treatment of melanoma and renal cell carcinoma.
He is systemic treatment lead for the EORTC Melanoma group and established and chairs the UK guideline group on Uveal Melanoma. He is ex-chair of the NCRI Bladder and Renal Carcinoma Clinical Studies Group.
He has authored over 150 papers including seven in the New England Journal of Medicine. He is chief investigator and steering committee member for many melanoma and renal carcinoma clinical studies. He advises a number of pharmaceutical companies, has given expert testimony to the EMA, MHRA and NICE and is a trustee of Melanoma Focus the UK national melanoma charity.
